Time Away From Work Benefit
One of the many great benefits of using the Lincoln Health and Wellness Center for your medical needs is that employees do not need to use sick, vacation, or personal time (PTO) for these appointments.
You may make appointments during your scheduled work hours, as long as you communicate with your supervisor in advance regarding your appointment time, any associated travel time, and classroom coverage needs (if applicable.) You do not need to provide any medical information related to the appointment.
Staff should work collaboratively with their supervisors to ensure classrooms are covered during this time.
The average appointment lasts between 30-45 minutes. Initial appointments may take longer to allow the provider time to review your medical history and records.
If you are unable to access an in-person appointment during your scheduled work hours, please know that you may access virtual care through the Lincoln Health and Wellness Center without using sick, vacation or personal time (PTO) as well.
